The history of AOC dates back to 1934. At this time, a U.S. ﬁrm

commenced manufacturing televisions under the name of

Admiral. In 1967 the Admiral Overseas Corporation was founded

in Taiwan. Rapid penetration of world markets began with the

adoption of the brand name AOC in 1979 as well as the opening

of the ﬁrst manufacturing facility in China in 1990. Today, AOC is

a global player in IT and consumer electronics, with a focus on

High Deﬁnition (HD) technology. AOC’s innovations range from

LCD monitors with conventional as well as LED backlights to LCD

televisions and Monitor TVs.
